If Khan can get himself a fight in between, and Judah manages to pull off a win, Khan could have a level to work at for a title shot, big rematch and all that.

Still think Amir will need a fight in between.

        Blaming everyone but himself again

Hard to like this lad sometimes

Amir Khan to ponder relationship with trainer Freddie Roach, admitting 'it's hard being No 2 to Manny Pacquiao'

Amir Khan is to assess his relationship with trainer Freddie Roach after his defeat to Danny Garcia on Saturday.

The 25 year-old was knocked out for the second time in his career when he was stopped in the fourth round in Las Vegas by underdog Garcia after being floored three times in the WBA and WBC light-welterweight unification fight.

Khan yesterday outlined his determination to reclaim both titles but will review his relationship with Roach, admitting he is tired of constantly being number two to Manny Pacquiao, who the American also trains.

In quotes reported by the Daily Mirror said: "I want someone who is with me all the way through, like my conditioner Ruben Tabares is.

"It's hard when you're with Manny and have to be the number two.

"Every fight is a big fight for me, I'm fighting top-10 guys and so I need the best guys with me all the way through.

"Now is the best time to sort these things out and my team will talk things over with Freddie.

"There are a few things I have to change to benefit me.

"Maybe we have to see if I'm doing the right training and have the right sparring."

Khan, who has been working with Roach since 2008, has vowed to return to the light-welterweight division once he has taken a break to reassess his defeat to Garcia.

Following his defeat, Khan also hit back at IBF super-middleweight champion Carl Froch's claim that the Bolton man should retire.

Khan said: "Carl's always got his little things to say, I think I'll leave it at that really. I'm a young fighter, I'm 25, I'm not talking about retiring, I'm still young and I've got a lot in me."

TBF, in the build-up shows to this fight there was far less of Freddie than there normally is. Hardly ever saw him at the sparring so maybe Amir has a point.

On the other hand, there is no point in him having a top trainer if he just ignores the gameplan and brawls.

Did you see some of the sparring sessions? They were brawls. Khan was wild in them and getting clocked left, right and centre. No sign of Roach during the sessions i watched only his new conditioning trainer

You're right though if he can't follow a game plan then there's no point laying the blame at the coach. As has been said before he's somewhat lacking in ring smarts.

Saw that. Really did not understand it - was more like a real fight than sparring and I think it was the wrong thing to do. Who knows, Freddie Roach may himself pull the plug on it because he is looking like a mug when Amir switches to the open brawling style and leaves himself wide open to shots.

He also had a twitter spat with is best mate last night and said some things to him that were way below the belt (no pun intended....actually he doesn't have any belts now so as you were ).

The guy has let it all go to his head. He will look back one day and realise what a knob he was.

Actually, tbf all he tweeted was about his mate leaving his house bitching. Said the guys got issues, and issues don't get u far in life. His mate then tweeted back saying Khan said some things to him about his life compared with Khan's. Just stupid really and arrogant sounding, as Pabs says.

No coach can teach him not to have a glass jaw. No idea who he thinks he can get in that is a better coach than Roach.

Khan really needs to get back to basics stop worrying about the fame side of it all, follow instructions in the ring and get back to being a proper boxer not a fighter as he doesn't have the chin or seemingly the ring craft to stand up and bang.

Khans loss, not Freddie's. Massive mistake IMO, his problem is not the coach, it is his inability to stick to the coach's game plan.

That's just it. He lives and sees everything from his own little fantasy would. He needs to face facts and understand where the issue is. Without acknowledging a problem you cannot do anything about it, so I think he will continue making the same mistakes. Feel for Freddie because he saw the raw talent in Khan but was not allowed to make him realise his full potential.
