The stats gleaned from cricket today do not tell the full story when you consider the circumstances in which the likes of Richards, Border etc from the 80s and prior played their cricket.
but you have to remember that until 2001/2 ish Zimbawe were a decent side with some top class players. It has only been since the Mugabe decided to take the country down the pan in 2001/2 that their player have deserted them and they have become dross. You cant blame Sachin for scoring runs against them or the Bangers, he cant choose his opponents.

Thats like saying what about the matches Sachin missed when he was injured. We can all go on about what-ifs but at the end of the day the records dont lie.

And what about the time Bradman spent on a ship travelling to Tests and we wont mention WWII

Zimbabwe has never been good at Test cricket - One day games maybe

I can’t think of (m)any 'top class' players either. The brothers Flower maybe….and that’s about it!

Well, if we're going down that road, Tendulkar's record against Australia is second to none. SA for some reason he always struggled against.

I honestly believe that India dont consider SA a threat and that's why we catch them out all the time. India is a different team when they Play Australia and Pakistan

Yep I was gonna mention his success against the best team in the world, while Lara always seemed to be McGrath's bunny.

You could carry this discussion on ad infinitum and never reach a conclusion.

Lara had to play against a bloody good Indian attack whilst the windies were for the most, a spent force, whilst Tendulkar was batting with the exception of a "past their peak" Curtley and Courtney.

Bradman is the greatest. The rest are debatable

                        The guy is a legend
There's no doubting that.....but the best ever? No.

Sachin is one of the best batsman of all time. Could spend years arguing over who actually is the best.

Personally I'd say Sachin, but I can also see why people say Lara (more match winning knocks) and Richards.

I dont think it has anything to do with him getting them out actually.

Its because he acts like a total cunt. There is no bigger cunt in the game of cricket than Harbhajan Singh.

Its not just Aussies that hate him BTW, he's a hated man around the globe

Andre Nel is sound, it just his on the pitch alter ego 'Gunther' who acts like a cnut.

Every sport will have heroes and villains - its all good as far as I am concerned.

Harbhajan is a nice guy - I met him (albeit briefly) at the Oval and he came across as a very nice person.

Seriously though, who else behaves like Harbhajan in cricket?
