Thank goodness for that. I was beginning to worry no-one would post in the General Sports ever again.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It would not surprise me one bit that it will come out eventually that none/most of the England palyers didnt want to go back but were forced/leaned on by the ECB/BCI to travel. Wonder what their body langauge will be like tomorrow.

He said he had doubts on SSN, i am sure all the players did...

Probably most of the Indian players wern't to sure about playing cricket so soon after the terrorist attacks...

The games probably should have been cancelled imo.

                England are doing well anyways....

                229 for 5 (88.0 overs)

                2 overs left.

yup same here, they could easily have rescheduled it for next year.

Good bowling display by England, really on top now but India's tail can wag like a mofo.

have faith, if Dhoni and Bhaji can ride out the storm we could be in a handy position.

That sounds like something Garth Crooks, in his more lucid moments, would say.

Oh, I wouldn't go that far. It was just the mixture of metaphors that struck me.

Mind you, I might be losing it. I've started hearing echoes of other things everywhere. Yesterday I was listening to Radio 4 where the presenter was talking about German reaction to Brown's suggested EU economic rescue package. The financial correspondent basically said that the Germans didn't like it but they had to go along with it...which seemed weirdly familiar.

Bhaji and Dhoni didnt really hold out for too long, but a mini collapse from England is par for the course really.
