We are frankly a bit rubbish when it comes to actually winning at cricket. I thought that if nothing else I thought KP would have made us have the right attitude and will to win. No self examination after loosing 5th series in 8 (obviously it was a short series but nonetheless it was a loss) doesn't bode well. I'm beginning to think that the Ashes might be a crap series between two mediocre teams at the minute.

Yep, bit of a worry isn't it...especially given the dream cricket that was served up in 2005. They were the two best teams in the world then.

          Moores out.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

            Mediocre?

The aussies may have been mediocre in India (largely because we didn't have a spinner for all but the last test), but the tests against Sth Africa have been great. Very competitive cricket, good scores, we have had injuries to key bowers also, which has gone unnoticed by all. Clark hasn't played at all, and Lee has just had surgery after trying to play through injury.

Its not the end of the world losing 2 tests (just) FFS. I wish we were playing an actual 5 test series like usual. Three tests is just stupid.

I expect the next ashes will be good viewing, we will bring over some lads that can actually swing the ball this time
