I think Khan can still become a good world champion and a lot of talk has been of Roach changing Khans stance to give him better balance and leg strength. A lot of Khans knockdowns have been nothing more than flash knockdowns due to his style, this can be solved fairly easily make no mistake.

Regarding his one k.o lets be fair, as Hatton said..those punches would have knocked me out. The best boxers (lewis, manny etc) can be k.o'd, its how they learn from it.

Im pretty sure he will have a great career.

Good point about the punches that knocked Khan out. They'd have put pretty much any lightweight on the floor. However the straight left / jab that wobbled Khan at the very start of the fight proved what alot of people have been saying about Khan. He's chinny.

Unfortunately for him he may have all the god given talent in the world but he can't grow muscles on his chin.

Theres no doubt nonewhatsoever that Roach will work on his defence. The muscle shift from chest to legs is a start.

The talk of a glass chin is pretty lazy. Any boxer can be knocked out. Indeed, Khan has shown the ability to get up off the floor having been hit, which isn't the hallmark of being chinny. The concern with Khan has been that he just stands there and allows himself to be hit cleanly. His concentration has been an issue (particularly some of the shots he soaked up in the Gomez fight when he wasn't paying attention on the breaks). Lad just needs to grow up a bit and realise he can't walk into people and expect to get them out of there inside three minutes.

Of course it isnt, if someone was calling Hatton it because he got knocked out by Floyd then thats lazy. Calling someone who's been put on his arse by a non puncher, a shot fighter, aswell as being put on his arse in the amateurs and having his legs wobbled by a jab chinny isnt lazy. Of course he could improve his defence 100% but look at Carl Froch the other night, he was hit with 10s of bombs and he was barely rocked let alone down. You either have a great chin or you dont. Why do you think even Haye, Froch, Calzaghe and other boxers have spoke about his lack of chin? It's not the world against Amir Khan, its just a fact.

That said, its far from being the end of the world for him, Wlad doesnt have a great chin but uses his jab to control fights, its boring but he gets the W so it doesnt really matter. He could clean up domestically and as he's with Warren he's nailed on for a WBO title shot at some point whether he's earned it or not.

Totally agree. At the end of the day, your going to get hit in a boxing match against any decent boxer. If you cant take a few digs then your in big trouble.

amir khan will never be a world champ. he is simply not good enough. he talks a good game but the second he fought a semi-decent fighter he got knocked the **** out. back to fighting no-hopers even i could beat and suddenly he's gonna be world champ again. the boy justy does not make me believe he can be truly successful. he's an arrogant cunt to boot. big on the british scene but world champ.....never.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there fella.

As long as Khan is promoted by Warren then he's got a very good chance of becoming a world champion. It'll either be WBU or the WBO.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that Khan is a world class boxer, he's not yet , it's simply that he has a fair degree of talent that Warren and the WBO will manoeuvre into a title fight.

Warren and to a certain extent Sky, have far to much money invested in Khan for him not to become a 'world champion'

The only way Khan does not get a crack at the WBO title is if he bombs Audley Harrision style.

Yep, he can easily be a world champ, he's with Warren afterall, one thing that cunt can do is get pretty much anyone at sports network a WBO shot.

Look at the WBO rankings for 130lbs for example, he's got 4 fighters in the top 15 and the mediocre Nicky Cook the champion, none of them deserve to be where they are in the rankings or hold the belt but thats where they are. You can never rule out him getting a vacated belt or taking it off another sports network bum. He has a remarkable ability to alter rankings, get dreadful fighters a "world" title shot, get other fighters stripped, the lot. Carl Froch was on Buncey's boxing hour calling it the "Warren Boxing Organisation" which is about right really.

Finally saw the Pacquiao/De La Hoya fight on TV tonight, I'm not going to pretend I know much about boxing but it's terrifying how quick Manny is. Going off that performance, he would absolutely annihilate Hatton.

Also...did anyone notice that the "A-Force" on the back of Harrison's shorts was creased into "A..rce" for most of the match? Appropriate really.

If Audley Harrison makes it as a world champion, I'm buying myself a pair of gloves. The guys ****ing useless!

                            Anyone see tonight's fare?

Wlad Klitchsko jabbed a statuesque Hasim Rahman to death. Rahman was woeful. At one point in the 3rd he spent a full two minutes against the ropes, flimsy 'guard' up, head and feet utterly still taking jab after jab after jab. It was quite bizarre. No punches, no movement, no heart, **** all.

And Riddick Bowe. Oh Riddick Bowe. 20 stone of blubber and beard, looking about 60. He won on points but it was largely turgid stuff, one throwback combination apart.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
