haha fair play daly! - he is a ****ing legend John Daly - when i was a big golfer I used to go the open every year, and prob about 10 years ago went to watch john daly on the practice ground - wow! - people think of john daly and just thing of this big brute with a huge overswing that ****s it as hard as he can - but his short game is immense.
He went into a deep pot hole bunker, about 15yds from the flag, and he threw a ball into the sand as hard as poss so it was plugged, he then set up, and just splashed the ball out which then rolled towards the flag and in the hole. Without even watching were it went, daly was already throwing another ball down, which he proceeded to splash out and hole again - he was there for about 20 minutes, the hole was overflowing with golf balls and he was just splashing ball after ball towards the hole.
There was about ten of us watching amazement and clapping each shot, when he fluffed one and left it in! - he shook his head, said oh for ****s sake and turned to us and said - i ****ing hate sand traps and just laughed, before going back and holing a few more
