Lesner vs Mir?

The first time they fought Mir was meant to be a patsy in Lesner's inexorable rise to UFC champ. This time around it's being called a 'superfight'.

St Pierre vs Alves will be decent. Hope Pierre get's his head caved in. Can't stand him.

As for Henderson vs Bisping? That's about as far from a superfight as you can get.

However, superfights they may not be, I'm certainly think they'll be very interesting fights.

Lesnar v Mir. I fail to see how someone won't be looking forward to this one. Mir is one of my all time favourites, Lesnar is the guy that everyone loves to hate, however you have to take your hat off to him. I watched a documentary on him a few months ago and now have a lot more respect for him. Mir was one of the finest fighters there was, he's precise, extremely aggressive when going for a lock and now it seems, has a decent standup game. The speed and power of Lesnar against the jujitsu expertise of Mir will be a cracker.

GSP v Alves.
St Pierre is the main man to me. Always humble in victory and defeat, IMO he's on a level only with Silva. Alves is a tough opponent and this will be by far the biggest test so far but I don't see Alves having enough.

Henderson v Bisping
I don't rate Bisping that highly, however, since he dropped down a weight he looks a lot more convincing. In recent times Henderson has only lost to Jackson and Silva (no shame there). It'll be interesting to see how Bisping fairs.

Missed the Rua vs Lidell fight.

Was Chuck on the other end of a beat down?

There was talk of this being the last chance salon for both Rua and Lidell and whoever lost the fight would be struggling to make it back onto UFC PPVs.

Chuck got hit with a straight Jab on the button .. he legs went .. and Rua was on top of him Hammer fists raining down .. It was an alright fight to be fair .. chuck had a few moments were he really tried to put it on Shogun .. who moves and weaved out of danger .. Shogun .. went to town on Chucks Lead leg .. decent fight .. But its Official Chuck is not at the top of the FoodChain anymore .. The Sport has moved on .. he has not .. great fighter to watch .. but other fighters know how to fight him now

Anderson Silva Vs. Thales Leites

A great great fight .. Silva Argubaly the best striker in the Game and pound for pound right there with GSP and Aleksander Emelianenko as the best fighter on the planet right now. However Thales Leites is exceptional on the ground has a great shoot and knock out power ... I can see Silva staying on the outside and taking Thales apart .. He needs to come out and remind people just how good he is

Wait, perhaps ‘shameful’ would be another great adjective for one of the worse main events I’ve ever seen. An even better evaluation of UFC 97 main event would be UFC president Dana White’s: 'embarrassing'.

“I can honestly tell you that I’ve never put on an event that I was embarrassed to be at until tonight,” White said. “I want to publicly apologize to all the fans.”

Fighting not to lose is exactly what i thought while watching the fight, but is was both fighters not just Silva.

right now Im comparing Silva to Roy Jones Jr. at the peak of his career. Roy would carry lesser opponents(guys he could have finished) all the way to the decision, just like Silva did Sat night. I think Anderson is bored and he was just trying to have fun and he might have been a lil bit offended that the UFC couldnt come up with a better opponent

Da Silva and White clearly don't get on anyway, and Da Silva wants to fight Jones under Queensbury rules. White would veto the fight to prevent his biggest asset getting beaten. Cue Da Silva putting in some half hearted performances. When is his UFC contract up?
