But I think its more of a case he simply has no competition right now .. except for GSP who will kick his ass .. I remember Silva when he was not all that in Japan .. suddenly he is the Messiah of MMA granted he is worldclass but I dont think he has been truly tested .. then again any fighter who can make Rick Franklin look ordinary must be a little bit special

Any UFC fighters would be murdered in a boxing ring though, and vice-versa. Although, I'd pay good money to see Kermit Cintron give it a go. He was offered a wrestling scholarship by the Ohio Buckeyes, and if he hits someone with those four ounce gloves he'll brain**** them for life.

Jesus I tell you what .. Frank Mir looked quite hand in the old 1 2 3's against the Nog .. most impressive display of boxing I have seen in MMA .. Also I think Evans might be able to hang with Jones ... i stress might

I don't think so. It's a different discipline. The range and awareness and footwork is so completely contrary to what they do in MMA. The minute there's a half decent striker in MMA they go on about how he might do in boxing, but none of them would live with a competent boxer. Some of them might make a career out of it if they worked at it and started at the bottom. But dropping them in with Jones, even far past his best, would be suicide. His sleight and handspeed would be alien to them.

There are plenty of rumours that Enzo Macrenelli is very interested in joining the UFC. I'm pretty sure he turned down the chance to go on the Ultimate Fighter before his last fight, but since then he's lost again I think it might be on.

Would be interesting to see how a real boxer would do. He's been studying jujitsu for quite a while now I think.

Silva is class. It may not have been the most exciting fight, but the guy utterly dominated. Very versatile and incredibly accurate striker.
