You're quite a slim guy aren't you, seem to remember you saying you were 28" waist. Or I could be completely wrong

I've got some bulk to shift so it's working well at the moment. If I can get down to under 13st then ill start to run a bit more and use exercise over diet hopefully. Being fat it's just so bloody hard to run without elevating my heart rate so high that I'm working anaerobically and not burning fat.

I guess if it stops being effective I'll need to try something else

Slim on paper maybe, but not in the mirrors, haha.

9lbs in 2 weeks is some going though. Do you find the fast days tough, or are you used to it? What I did find when I did it and probably why I stuck with it so long was that it made me appreciate and enjoy food more on non-fast days, whereas when eating normally 7 days a week, I get bored pretty quickly of eating the same crap.

Now that all my summer holidays are out of the way think going forward I’ll eat and drink junk Fri-Sun, fast Monday and eat well Tue-Thu just to maintain an average weight.

Good luck with the 5-2 though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I haven't found those days tough at all, been really focused on them. If anything I'd prefer to eat nothing at all but know that I should have something. The link up with My fitness pal is good and helps even more.

I'm pigging out all weekend and want to see what the affected will be come next Friday

Has anyone used these formulas to work out how many calories you're supposed to consume? I've tried it with mine, and I'm sure none of them are accurate.

You're still burning fat running at the high heart rates, and are actually burning more fat than you are at the low rates, so don't worry about that. You've got to go at a pace that you feel comfortable with though when you're starting a running programme, and don't try and increase too much too soon.

This free app does it.http://www.dietorganizer.com/Download.htm I found it really useful way to lose weight, although it did tick all my anal boxes.

I've started the 100 push up challenge, yet again. Let's see if I get past week 3 this time.

I started it again too. I got to Week 4 and noticed little difference, except strength in my arms and elbows.

I did them using a mixture of incline and decline pushups, and my chest area hurts like mad, as well as my arms. I can feel so much difference compared to regular pushups.

Try a decline pushup where your feet are resting on an elevated position like a chair. It'll result in your chest going below where your hands are as you're going even lower than you would. That's a bitch of a pushup.
I’m the showstopper, the headliner, the main event, the icon that is the Heartbreak Kid

I think I'll give that a go. Cheers mate.

Going to cut out the carbs at breakfast and lunch too. No more oats or oatcakes. I'm replacing them with a 3 egg omelette with cottage cheese (breakfast), and lettuce, cucumber and tomato for lunch (with a tin of sardines). I'm normal weight, but not toned, and according to the weighing scales, my body fat percentage is at a whopping 34%.

I get good readings from my scales, so I'm refusing to ever get my body fat checked properly again.

                          Deinal FTW.

Which are the push-ups where you tuck your elbows in? Are they any good?

All push ups are excellent, it's all about good form and doing them slowly, as with most strength training.

Obviously I'm a complete expert at these things
