Simply put, Hatton has a very simple style which he has in his head from when Billy Graham was his trainer and hasn't been able to change since and against more tactical savvy boxers and trainers, he will get caught out.

He won't get an offer from Frank. Hatton is probably now looking to retire.
I think he'll retire as well. He's got enough money in the bank and he'll have his promotional business to fall back on.

On Floyd Snr, did he install enough disicpline though? I don't think he did, he's just a loud mouth (like his son). If I was a boxer I'd prefer someone like Roach in my corner - a total professional.

No your'e right he didn't, he said after the fight though that he'd told Hatton NOT to go in too aggressive, let the fight develop & see how Pac was going to play it....he then said Hatton just didn't do it like he'd been told, so is it down to Mayweather not installing the discipline, or Hatton being a leopard that can NEVER change his spots, especially at this stage of his career.

Imo though it was just a case of the better boxer showing off his talents.

          That's the upshot of it.

But what I can't understand that if they worked on a particular tactic during a 12 week training camp why did Hatton forget all that once the bell went? Why did he charge in and play right in to Manny's hands?

He totally changed Hatton's training which was based more on pad work, sparring sessions rather than going to the gym and picking up weights which seemed to the case with Billy Graham. Personally, Hatton changed coach at the wrong time, far too late in his career.

I knew Pacman would destroy him but I must say I thought it'd be a case of gradually battering him over 8 or 9 rounds. Didn't see that coming.

A fight with Mayweather would be absolutely sensational. So tough to call.

It couldn't have been a happy training camp if reports are true regarding Floyd Snr turning up late for the sessions and during the pad work training Hatton to fight a orthodox fighter rather than a southpaw.

One things for sure if Hatton does fight again Mayweather Snr won't be in his corner.

If Paccy landed that punch on Mayweather he would be chewing thew canvas fairly early. That punch would have floored boxers several weights above his fighting weight

Thats one mega if and its hugely unlikely. He's got one of the best defences ive ever seen. He's a genius.

Its easy to KO people if they're slower than you and just walk in with no footwork or head movement.

He really is, Marquez will be a great fight for Mayweather especially if he is to fight Pacman after, i fancy him to win both of course.

He won't get his "Mayweather at Wembley" showdown now, so may as well give Amir Khan a bit of airtime.

Hatton v Khan for his final fight.

I wonder if Hatton has figured out what happened to him?
what a beating he took, fair ****s to Pacman, really cemented his legacy after this

Doubt this will ever happen. If Khan has the right advisers, they will tell him to avoid this at all costs. A possible fight will make Khan a proper hate figure up and down the country what ever the result. The new Eubank.
