You often get a stand off in a big fight, both just trying to work out the opponent. There are so many more options than in boxing, so its quite common.

Serra v Hughes was before that, not a bad fight. Hughes used to be the main man, but as things moved on he got left behind. He gets his arse kicked whenever he faces on of the new generation.

Machida is the real deal, he's got such an unorthodox style but he's the most accurate fighter out there at the moment, if you watch him fight he doesn't throw many punches or kicks that miss the mark, it was a pretty good card overall, some good fights and some great knockouts. Looks like Rampage Jackson will be next for Machida but i can't see him offering anything different from Rashad Evans.

I was glad to see Matt Hughes beat Matt Serra although that fight could have gone either way really, Hughes victory puts him level with the Iceman for most victories in UFC with 16.

I'm really looking forward to UFC100 Lesnar vs Mir for the Heavyweight Title and GSP taking on Thiago Alves for the Welterweight Title.

Rumours were going around that if GSP wins Dana White will try and setup a fight between GSP and Anderson Silva at a catchweight, that probably all depends on Silva's next performance against Forrest Griffin too though.
