    Wimbledon 2009

Rooting for Federer to win it and I expect him to do just that, especially with the weight lifted off his shoulders after winning the French one. We may also see a better Murray this time, after his Queen's win yesterday. He also seems to be approaching this year's championships with a level head, stating that the clear favorites are Federer and Nadal and that he belongs to the group just behind.

Besides, I may have tickets for this for the first week. Can't wait!

Yeah i'd agree with that, be interesting to see if Nadal turns up, i'm expecting him too and with his knees i reckon he'll be top of his game or a weaker version of himself!

Pretty sure i'm attending as well, looking forward to it!

Fed or murray to win, fancy nadal to turn up but to lose a tough 5 setter somewhere along the line.

I am rooting for Federer just because I would love to see him overtake Sampras in the overall winnings of grand slams.

Murray is another good shot, and I look forward to seeing how far he can take it this year.

I thought Sampras was great. I don't really care if Federer passes him, though I've nothing against Roger. I hope Andy Murray wins.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

              Game Set and Match, Murray.

Easy route to the final, no excuses but loads of pressure.

Rafael Nadal faced up to ‘the most difficult decision of my career’ when he announced that he will be unable to defend his Wimbledon title next week.

After two exhibition matches and despite looking in better shape on Friday, he reluctantly concluded that the tendinitis in his knees would make it impossible to mount a serious challenge over the coming fortnight.

While a huge blow to the tournament, his withdrawal further improved the chances of Andy Murray, who had been drawn in the same half as Nadal and on the opposite side to favourite Roger Federer.

The BBC's online streaming of this has been excellent so far. Been watching loads of it from work these past few days. You can just keep flicking through different courts with ease!

Murray wins the first set against Kendrick. After he broke Kendrick's serve in the first game, it then became I tightly fought set - Murray eventually winning it 7-5.

Murray won 3-1 in the end.

Beautiful Ana Ivanovic just survived a scare to win too.

I listened to it on the radio. Murray doesn't stand a chance of winning it if his second serve continues to be anywhere near as bad as I heard described. In fact, he's probably going to lose in R2.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Murray won't win it. He's not good enough yet to win Wimbledon. It's Roger's title to lose.

Or you could look at it that the only player at the championship better than Murray is Federer (on current form and world ranking), and Murray has a very good record against Federer, so you never know.
