As for the East german women, I think they relied on 'hormones' to increase their performance levels, which I also think, is very easy to depict if someone goes this route.

I'm not sure at all about all the above, just for general debate.
Yes, it occurred to me it may be caused by physical gender differences, although you'd have thought there would be one woman in the world at least who would be able to benefit from the same doping techniques as the men, if they were actually using any.

I would agree it's circumstantial evidence at best.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If Bolt goes all out in a 100m race then he's got the potential to set a time that will never be beaten, he seems to take the 200m a lot more seriously as it's his preffered event.

I can see him setting a time in the low 9 seconds time, there has never been a sprinter like him and i doubt we'll ever see one like him again, everyone should just enjoy it while they can.

As for the doping, don't you think he'll be one of the most tested athletes? If he was on something he'd have been caught already no matter how much he was trying to disguise it.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

i think we're going to see something special in the finals this evening, although it's been said that it's not the fastest of tracks out there.

I remember when it seemed like 9.84 or 9.83 cant remember what it was stayed as the record for ages (it might not have, thats just what I think!), and yet this guy comes along and just jogs 9.8s, 9.9s and spends half the race laughing to himself! Its astonishing. I wonder how low the record can eventually go, even in 100 years, because its not like anyone will ever be able to do it in 2 seconds so it has to stop somewhere eventually.

I think it'll go tonight, if he gets pushed by the likes of Gay et al, otherwise he might just tail off, laughing and chatting.

I'm well pumped for this and it'll all be over in under 10 seconds, it's similar to sex!

I'm pumped too, love the 100m and it's great to have a superstar lighting it up. Even Gay, he's run some incredible times. And Powell.

Can't wait for the final, I think Bolt will run 9.65.

Have to say that false start rule is a total ****ing joke. It was never like that in my day. You had to false start twice before being disqualified. That poor British lad, (Tyrone Edgar?)....commits the 2nd false start of the race so he's out! What a farce. What's the point of that rule?

I can't believe after all this time that Dwain Chambers is still our best 100m runner
