Still incredible how someone being gay can be a headline in 2017.

Sad that he's had to wait until he is 50 to feel comfortable in speaking publicly about his sexuality.

Good on him for being brave enough to do so.

Shame he felt he had to do it because a paper was going to out him first. Like outing people for attention and readers is even something to think of doing.

I'll still be amazed when a footballer comes out before they retire.

This Caster Semenya ruling is ****ing staggering.

What a can of worms to open. How can you begin to define sex on a hormonal level? The wider implications on this ruling seem staggering. You can’t deny someone the right to compete (or make them take a drug to actually fall into accepted and defined criteria) based on their genetics.

Yeah it was the "take this drug thing to make yourself a bit more girly and you can compete again" thing that was most shocking.

i've seen her compete since primary school where she had absolute bags of potential that looked to be going nowhere, she got lucky with funding and a coach who believed in her and look at her now. World champion

Was a bit of goth with an attitude in school, now this polished personality

Her best mate in secondary school Jodie who won the Emmy for best actress last week, its mental.

Chelcee Grimes who was in year above them also smashing it with music and football.

I work in a boring office job.

Yeah, i've been watching. She was great.

What has been an absolute disgrace though is the fact it is in Qatar. There are more media and journalists at the events than actual, you know fans. Most of which are presumably coaches and family.

She's just romped home in the two laps and there's barely a noise in the stadium to cheer her over the line and perhaps edge her on to a 7k total. Still i think she has just landed the fifth best ever and best British total which given the talent there's been that's great in itself.

But yeah, **** Qatar. And **** Coe the sell out cunt as well for that matter.

Set your treadmill to 13 mph /21 km/h (if it goes that high) and that's the average pace he ran the marathon at. I can barely keep up at that speed for 20 seconds

It really is an incredible feat. It's a shame he's probably a drugs cheat, but then most elite sportsman are so

I'm still in favour of an honest and open Druglympics

It was good to see Dina Asher-Smith win her first race of the year, at the weekend, in rotten conditions. Also got a first look, for me, of this new US sensation:
