One of the only sports I can not watch, no matter how dramatic or how many records look set to be broken. And I've tried a few times, thinking that it can't be that bad if so many people can like the damned thing.

But it is. I tend to like baseball movies like Field of Dreams though.

Its hard to get into baseball if you know nothing about it.

But I do know plenty of things about it, obviously as I'm not a fan I don't have a wealth of experience about it.

But it strikes me that for the sport to have so many fans it must have an initial pull. If you had to know everything about the sport before you derived any enjoyment from it I doubt it would have such a large fan base.

I'm guessing it's just not for me. Maybe it's because the Yanks call it the world series when they are the only ones who compete in it!

It's called the "world" series cos the original competition was instigated by "The Boston World" newspaper. People subsequently shortened it to "the world series". Yanks are still ****s though!!
