Kellerman is a big part of their coverage, he'll be there next time unfortunately.
He's actually a decent analyst/commentator but his interviews are horrific with the other day being the lowest point. He'd ask Floyd something yet barely let him answer, the shouting "Pacquiao" in his face and following it with "I knew that'd get your attention" was just cringeworthy. As was the ending with him begging for "Jim" in the studio to rescue the complete mess he'd made of it. He just had no control over anything in there.
Larry should have done it, he hates Mayweather so always gives him tough questions.

ha ha Haye looks like a ****ing 5 year old compared to that big ****er! I honestly cant see Haye knocking out Valuev and imo the only way he will win is by darting in and out and not letting himself being caught or blocked into the corners. To be fair though that is a distinct possibility as the ****er is so slow and haye so fast. I guess Haye could stop him by being so fast the guy wont be able to cover up....

The fact Mayweather outclassed Marquez was not a suprise. But the fact he never opened up and went for the knockout did take me by suprise. The commentator kept saying he could win it when he wanted too with a knockout, but in reality I don't think he could as his mindset would not allow him too. It seems he just aims to ware them down and then finish of an opponent who can't fight back.Originally posted by BFG View PostReally enjoyed it personally.
If you want to see two lumps of men punching each others lights out then obviously it was a let down. However, if you wanted to see one of the true legends of a sport give what can only be described as a masterclass, completely nullifying a very dangerous oponent with unbelievable speed, spacial awareness, reactions and grace then it was a good spectacle. His accuracy and hand speed are truly amazing also.
If you couldn't appreciate what Mayweather did the other night then you don't really like boxing, just fighting.

Something along the lines of the fight was agreed at 144 pounds, and near the days coming up to the fight Mayweather wanted to change terms that the limit be changed to 147, but every pound over 144 there was a fine. He weighed in at 146 at the weigh-in (there was some shocked looks), and was rumored to have to pay Marquez around £600,000 in fines.Originally posted by memzey View PostDoes anyone know why the interviewer was being such a prick post fight? He hardly let PBF get a word in. Also mentioned something about the weights they were at - what was that about?
He's got slated over it in the boxing world apparently as everyone reckons he had no intention of ever making the 144, and with the fight already being tarnished over weight differnces between the 2 fighters, it didnt seem to go down well.
Something like that anyways...would of liked to hear Mayweather answer actually. Was funny when him and Mosely started to argue though, Mosely may have talked himself into getting a fight there.Last edited by felly; 25-09-09, 03:13 PM.Justice for the 96 - YNWA

Marquez on Pacquiao vs Mayweather:
Juan Manuel Marquez has tasted two fights with Manny Pacquiao; fighting to a draw in 2004 and losing a close split decision in 2008. He was dominated last weekend by the returning Floyd Mayweather Jr. With only a few months left in the year, the biggest fight in boxing as we head into 2010 is Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. The Filipino champion still has to get past WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 14 in a very tough fight.
Marquez spoke with his promoter, Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya, and said Mayweather is too slick for Pacquiao. He said Pacquiao would get picked apart by Floyd.
"This is coming from Marquez. If Mayweather fights Pacquiao - c'mon - we all know what's going to happen. Mayweather is just too slick. He'll pick him apart. And that's coming from Marquez. And Marquez knows, he's been in there with Pacquiao," De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com
Marquez on possible Hatton fight:
WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has no problem traveling to Manchester to challenge junior welterweight Ricky Hatton, says Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya.
After suffering a decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr last Saturday in Las Vegas, Marquez is ready to get back in the mix by accepting another huge fight. He would like to fight Hatton at 140. The WBO recently made it known that Marquez will be required to defend his title against interim-champion Michael Katsidis in the near future. Hatton has yet to make a clear decision on his future in the ring. De La Hoya promotes Marquez, Hatton and Katsidis.
"There are many options. He can fight tons of guys. He can fight Hatton. He can fight Katsidis. He can fight a lot of guys. We'll just have to see what Marquez and Hatton want to do. Marquez has no problem traveling to Manchester to challenge Ricky Hatton. It will be a great fight. It will be one of those fights where whoever the winner is - is back. Back with a venegence. Back on top of the world and can go on fighting bigger fights and being on bigger events. I think it's a win-win for everyone so I think Marquez and Hatton really should consider doing that fight. It will be good for boxing and good for their careers," De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com's Luis Sandoval.Justice for the 96 - YNWA
