I disagree, I thought it was spot on, id have hated any champion to lose to someone who didnt come to fight, Froch was the agressor throughout and whilst I completely respect boxing skills and counter punching Dirrell was way too negative and didnt deserve to become champion by fighting like that.

He was negative but that shouldnt come into it, he did the far better work, landing the better shots and was actually more aggressive than Froch anyway after the point deduction.

It was just a typical home decision imo. I should add I take back the dreadful dreadful decision bit, ive seen far worse but I thought Dirrell comfortably did enough, even taking into account the point deduction. But give me the boxer over the brawler anyday so im probably biased!

I like boxers who use their skills and appreciate that not everyone is gonna come forward no matter what, that said I thought Dirrell was overly negative in his approach and that showed in his ridiculous tying up of Froch whenever he could.
The worst thing is that had he shown a bit more aggression I think he could have taken Froch out, I am sure he wobbled Froch somewhere around the middle rounds and his extreme speed must have been fairly heavy hitting as well. He has the style, speed and age to come good again now but he has to mix it up just a little more I feel.
I havent seen him fight properly before but theres question marks about his chin apparently so maybe thats why he came across as a bit scared.
