Yeah Id agree with all of that.

      Poor RJJ.

One of the ATGs reduced to this.

Cracking article about him in this months Boxing Monthly. It questioned what damage he was doing to his legacy by continuing to box when he'd nothing left to prove to anyone, except maybe his old man.

I thought he was fighting Hopkins in March?

Yeah, I don't buy that as a fix at all - if it was he'd have done a hell of a better job acting like he was putting on a fight first.

I guess it happens in all sports, legends who don't know when to quit / carry on way past their prime, but it never looks more sad than when it happens with boxers.

All ruined now, even though Hopkins won today. Both of them had to win their current fights. Shame as I was looking forward to it, thought Jones would win too. Hopkins lacks KO power in his old age (hasn't had a proper knockout since 03, de la Hoya doesn't count as it was a kidney shot).

It's sad to see a great get killed like that by some ****** like Danny Green. I personally thought he should have retired after the Calzaghe loss but the way he fought against Jeff Lacy made him think he still had a few years in the tank. Hopefully he retires and his record can remain somewhat intact.

Hopkins still wants the RJJ fight as a warm up before taking on Haye for the World Heavyweight crown.

A few mates of mine were at the fight and say it was defo rigged! The shot caught him on the side/back of the head which is a big shot to take but to me it looked more like it skimmed the back of his head than landing flush! Its hard to know what to think maybe the punch resistance has gone but he was still embarrasing green in the 1st minute with the jab!
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.
