Haha and who are these others? "most up and coming young stars"

No problem with Amir Khan at all, none whatsoever.

Who next? Only I think I see where you're going with this. Walcott? Raheem Sterling?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Friend of a friend used to work pit crew for Mclaren and he said that Hamilton and his old man basically swanned around like they owned the show and throwing hissy fits when they didn't get their own way.

Apparently he is a right cocky little prick

He also said that the Finnish drivers were all top boys, Raikkonen used to throw an end of season party at his pad in Finland for the mechanics etc. All expenses paid and went on for about a week, booze and birds from all angles

I think Lewis has learnt from Schumacher. You fight to be No1 in your team and fight your corner when they let you down or there's a shortage of resources. Alonso couldn't compete, neither has any of Schumachers team mates over the years. He came accross well on Top Gear and most interviews afer races etc.

He's definately confident, but in all honesty does anyone actually like Coulthard for being a nice guy?

His radio talk with his technical director in the Aussie GP was a great insight IMO, when he got told that Hamilton was behind him, he said don't tell me!

Alonso was just a hissy little bitch because he thought the title would be handed to him on a platter now that Schumacher was out of the way.

He wasn't expecting Hamilton to come along and piss on his parade.

A lot of other people do slag off Kahn for the same reasons though. It does appear that their cockiness offends people, but possibly you don't get to be as successful as them at their age without having excessive confidence in your ability...

And what Baracus seemed to be hinting at has occured to me as well (not in your case obviously) - in some people I think can read the subtext of good old fashioned "uppity" rather than simple cockiness.

I hate saying it and making the same distasteful inference Baracus seemed to be making, but I'm a bit suspicious of a lot the contempt reserved for Khan. Whether he was cocky or not, I suspect some people would dislike him regardless...

Mark Webber has just come out and said that Australia are quickly becoming a nanny state and I agree. They're looking to censor the internets too there.

                        Agreed, sadly.

I cannot believe that a government campaign there would have the word "dickhead" on its posters. Like I said, I don't think our newscasters would even be able to say when reporting the story. (Did anyone see it on the news yesterday?)

The Australian Prime Minister commented "You can shove your sophistication up your arse, mate".

I think it's also an English thing. Historically we love a good loser.

I love Hamilton and Khan as they have the ability to be the best at what they do. I saw a documentary with Khan where one minute he was talking about being the best and destroying his opponent and then he was at home with his family being extremely humble about all the merchandising he was being given and then was quite shy around a large group of kids in the gym that were hero worshipping him. They know what they need to do and how they need to behave and with that comes the requirement to be cocky if for no other reason than to convince themselves.

I also reserve a bit of patriotic love for them both.

This is the Australian paradox, they cry foul of anti-family values then they do things like this.
