had his oppurtunites to rid himself of the loser tag by at least winning 1 or 2 finals but he lost them all and in style.......
You were comparing him to Henman.

And Henman reached how many Grand Slam finals?

Murray is up against two definitely and possibly three (time will tell about Djokovic) of the best players ever. Henman only featured for three weeks a year and never came close to winning a Grand Slam.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Henman used to bottle it on his best surface against anybody.

Nadal and federer are not invincible and have been beaten........murray has got to several finals recently and been thrashed.............a loser hasn't got the bottle or mental ability to make that step up.........no different to henman .regardless of how many finals henman go to or not.winning is winning losing is losing

Djokovic lost a match He could actually lose a match

          Federer won 3-1. Excellent match.

Not that he will have a chance against Nadal in the final.

Belting performance from Fed. Looked like he was about to be overrun and Djok levelling at 2-2 but then Roj digs deeps and takes it 3-1.

Nadal will do him in the final though.

yay i am a bottler then not just not good enough to win a grand slam.

on a serious note murray has more ability than henman. However he is up against certainly two of the all time greats and that does limit his chances of winning a slam.

is he mentally strong enough to win? i have no idea but he needs to have good coaches behind him and the constant coaching changes is a worry.

also 4th in the world means he should be getting to semi finals is he good enough to regularly beat the top 3? it doesnt look like it and not sure that is mental or ability

He's consistently been in the top four in the world at a time when the top two are all-time greats. To call him a loser is perverse.

Still if I want sensible views then I suppose I'd better ask The Sausage.

it was a strong start - want Nadal to win myself, never been keen on Fed, always been a bit too full of himself.

seriously? I always found him down to earth even with his talent and winnings

The main reason I want Federer to win this is simply because he is such a gifted player, he has a technique not matched by any. I have never been a fan of the type of player that Nadal is, but he is simply fantastic on clay.

Going to be a fantastic match this. Fed is firing in this first set!
                          Are we winning?

Ah heard too many interviews belittling opponents and blaming himself for losses rather than giving credit to whoevers beaten him.

This is where we differ I think, Rafa has in general had Feds number in head to heads on and I think could overtake him in terms of slams by the end of his career - Fed is certainly the best ever at the moment though 16 slams is just amazing!

Fed have a hard time against Nadal and it's mainly due to his stamina, speed and consistent way of hitting the ball.

Federer is however still by some distance the best technical player in the world, and by far the best I have seen. He can simply do everything with the ball, but his best days are behind him now.

Still I have never been a huge fan of the baseline runner type of player.
