aye - it's the same with all links courses - they are built with the coastal british weather in mind as their first defence.

For example I've played Royal Liverpool(where the open was in 2007) loads of times when i was good

One day, sun shining, no wind i went round 6 over, two days later in the wind and I was hitting driver, 3 iron and not getting up on holes 2 days early I was hitting driver, wedge too.

If we get 4 still, dry days then the winning score will be 15 under or more. One day of wind and rain though and you could probably halve it.

Anyone got a stream for this??

My local tv network decided zumba infomercials and re-runs of Skippy get more ratings than The Open

and the stream i was watching on ATDHE has died and not working for a good half hour

jesus harv - do you want me to fly over and wipe your arse too

                  try going to www.bbc.co.uk

on the homepage, down the left handside should be a link that says

Sport - and a link that says Live - The Open

click on it, it should then take you to a page with a big screen in the middle and something that says play - click on that.

                  or heres' the link

BBC video is mostly only available in the UK. They certainly won't own the foreign territory rights for the Open.

Google proxy site or chuck the BBC link through Google translate and you can pretend you are in the UK and will get the footage.

Pick 1: Justin Rose E/W @ 25/1 (PP) Never played better and confidence flying just now. Will look to impress playing partner Tiger in early rounds.

Pick 2: Camillo Villegas @ 70/1 (PP) Like Rose, Villegas will be eager to impress Tiger and he also has the ability to shape the ball and play different sorts of shots. Will be able to keep the ball under the wind this week.

Pick 3: Paul Casey E/W @ 40/1 (Boylesports) Casey is under the radar slightly this week but he's been practising hard and upping his workload and focus (in his own words) and sees this as the ultimate goal. Has the mentality and game for the big occasion.

Pick 4: Jim Fuyrk E/W @ 40/1 (Boylesports)Strong performer in the Open and been practising over this side of the pond leading up to the event. Short set up gives him as good a chance as anyone.

                                Sleeper Pick
Ryan Moore E/W @ 125/1 (PP) Fantastic driver of the golf ball and competent all round game. Has been getting increasingly better in his last few tournaments and almost won last time out. Confidence high and a huge talent.

nix's picks are doing not to bad at all...........well apart from furyk !!
