If and when we ever have a good team again we'll come flocking back.

Wow. I hope that was a serious post because it certainly lacked anything remotely related to a joke On a serious note, in a win for Football around the world, cricket is loosing supporters to other sports such as the A-League, which also occurs during the Australian summer.

Of course it was serious, that is absolutely the case. The reason Neil laughed at it is, because as well it being factual, it's also funny.

Seriously, it's very peculiar how my Aussie mates over here have suddenly lost interest in the game.

It may be the case for others but for most people I know it isn't. My whole family and lots of my close mates who were big cricket fans seriously began to loose interest around the time we went on that second massive win streak were they won 15 or 16 on the trot. Maybe its different for others, but the loss of interest began much earlier then you might think.

...although, personally, I don't have any mates from Australia. In fact, even if I had any mates, I'd make sure they weren't from there.

Don't misunderstand me, I don't dislike Australians. I just wish they didn't all become infantile every time they speak to an Englishman which is how it seems.

You know what grinds my gears Shaggy, the fact that you base your opinion of the entire Australian population on a few Aussie mates you have who don't even live in Australia and from a few guys who post on a forum. I basically hate you.

Yes that's exactly what I do. I firmly believe that because my Australian mates act and think a certain way, then every single member of the Australian population must be exactly the same.

What I also love is some Australians inability to take a bit of ribbing after years and years of dishing it out. Boot's on the other foot = you whinge like hell about everything coming your way.

England v Pakistan Test Series starts today at Trent Bridge.

I fancy England to win 2-1 (with 1 drawn match) and am expecting an exciting series.

Collingwood seems to have dismissed the Pakistan bowling attack, but you can never predict what Pakistan will do. If the conditions are suited for a bit of swing, they will cause the England batsmen serious problems. Only thing is the Pakistan batting line up is so brittle right now and I just do not see them doing very well against the England bowling attack.

It will be interesting to see how many Tests actually last the full 5 days!

I fancy Pakistan to cheat/bring the game into disrepute/try and eat the ball or all 3
