Wouldn't be a certain John Part would it? If so, i would pay very little interest in his remarks, he's a very bitter ex champion who got the ultimate humiliation in a 7-0 drubbing live on TV in the final...he hated Taylor before then, but hated him even more afterwards, even tho he got revenge in a 7-6 win a few years later.

Yeah, just realised that...hmmmn, i hate these ex players, always commenting on todays players in a negative way...oh wait, that's ex-footballers...

Lowe was a perennial second best to Bristow, and Bristow was responsible for the emergence of Taylor. It was well known Lowe thought Bristow was up his own arse, and he seems to have the same problem with Taylor, for some reason. I can't take him seriously really, cos he just comes across as bitter.

Just trying to find the comments he made tho, cos i'm interested in seeing them.

Haha what a surprise. Proper little Taylor fanboi aren't you.

Lowe barely competed against Taylor, although they overlapped briefly they're different eras - so he has no reason to speak ill of Taylor. Anyway, he has no personal issue with him whatsoever. None at all. He just said he's not well liked in the slightest.

Also you won't find it on the internet.

Yup, Taylor s But i'm a fan of good darts, so the likes of Barney, Wade, Bristow, King, Part (even tho i hate him and his sneer) all give good viewing. Even like watching Manley play, but that's just cos he looks like me uncle Jim.

They overlapped yeah, but at the end of Lowes' career really, altho he clung in there til about 2002 or so i think?

Just looking and i doubt there'll ever be a public statement from Lowe given that he and Taylor are both Unicorn boys, so i guess any quotes will be off the record. Shame tho, would like to have seen what he said.

Still, some must like him, some will hate him...guess it all depends who you talk too really.

My feelings for him have nothing to do with what others are said to think. I don't like him whether he's well liked in the game or not.

John Lowe owns a pub and when he's not being exceedingly miserable he's quite forthcoming about stuff inside the game.

cracking game last night. as part of the "barney army" was gutted to see him lose but he had a different approach to the game i felt and it wont be long before he hits top form again after a 3 year lull.

on a side note, sid waddell is a cunt and sky sports should introduce a red button to press to shut him the **** up!
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I'm just pleased to see Barney back to somewhere near his best, cos he is one of the players i enjoy watching the most, very fluid action.

Can't stand Sid myself...he used to be amusing, but now he sounds like he's trying to damn hard to come out with silly phrases.

Anyway I knew it'd upset some folk.

I think he seems a total cock. A total, total cock. Always making thinly-veiled digs at the other players. He was at it with Colin Lloyd the other day and WTF was all that about when he was blabbering on about Barney leaving the stage, so ****ing what? He's always got an opinion on what everyone else is doing and how they can improve etc, he's a real patronising cunt. Apparently he's extremely unpopular on the circuit and not because he's totally dominant. He's absolutely thick as ****, smug and smarmy ....he makes me cringe. No matter how much better than everyone else he is it cannot justify his hideous superiority complex.

                          Great player though
He's an absolute bellend, no doubt. I cant stand him.

The other day he was like "I think Simon is scared of me, actually I wouldnt say scared just that he fears me" then its on to "9 darter" etc. Then after the match its "Ricky Hatton" Robbie Williams" "Ronnie" "Steven Gately's family", so and so needs to "work harder like I do" "get their fitness up like I do" "put in the hours like I do" "get on the practice board like I do" "practice practice practice like me" "8 hours a day like me". I cant quite believe he's been called "humble" in this thread, incredible!

Nadal and Pacquiao are what you call humble, not this guy.

He was acting a massive **** last night aswell, "He's a bad loser" "He's left the stage, oh they must have told him to come back on". He's done an astonishing amount for darts and he's an incredible player but theres nothing humble or gracious about him, more patronising and arrogant.

Like i said before, he hates the people that treat darts like a past time, not a career. He wants them all to show repsect to the game, that's fair enough.

weirdly, i can't stand Nadal, even tho i think he's a great player...people seem to think Fed is an arrogant player, but i can't see it myself, he just knows he's good.

We seem, as a nation, to hate those that are good...Peiterson, Taylor, Ronaldo, Schumacher, Federer and then cheer for the yearly underdog....Henman for example. We build them up to great heights, then try to knock them down.

Missed that last night, what did he say then...i just saw the presentation and then i was off out.

And like I said before, that makes him a sanctimonious cunt. How others go about their business is **** all to do with him. I suspect it's one of the reasons he's so unpopular.

And as for his incessant celebrity name-dropping...
