On Cook, I don't really rate him and never really have. Yes, he scores a lot of runs, mainly against poor opposition but his technique and mental toughness is pretty debatable if you ask me. I'm not the only one who has major doubts, the thing is, he always manages to pull that big score out of his arse every time his form drops so he manages to maintain his place. And regardless of his question marks over him, his numbers back him up. That coupled with there's not really any standout candidates to replace him.

Cook definitely needs to be taken out of the firing line at the top of the order. Perhaps he could benefit from a rest (a la Strauss a few years ago).

With England so dominant in this series I would persevere with Cook for at least 1 more test. One good innings and he is back.
