Been way over-egged if you ask me. He never once said it was the reason he lost, nor did the trainer, said he lost to a better fighter, that he probably won't be offered a rematch and why should he, etc. Not sure what some of you want. Maybe if he started weeping and kissed Wlad's feet?
And besides, good losers are losers. That's about as graceful as you'll get and a damn sight more dignified than any losers in football, for example. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Agreed but at the same time I think Haye v either of the brothers would be pointless. It's a shame Haye couldn't win as the division is now back to the dire, sterile ****e it was before this fight was announced. The Klitschkos are good but **** me they don't do excitement (or even interesting). The heavyweight division - for me at least - was always the most exciting but it's dead now. Again. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Agree with above - but a point I made in the other thread: Haye retiring before his 31st isn't just something he's been saying the last couple of years - he's mentioned it numerous times whilst he was a cruiserweight (iirc something to do with a promise to his mother at a young age) so if Haye won - all this excitement from his fights you wouldn't see again anyway as he'd be unlikely to recover, sort out contracts, book a venue, include a long training camp within 3 months - all to fight Vitali. At least now it looks as though he'll break that promise and go on fighting.

I'm not over-egging anything. If you can find a quote where he blames the loss on the broken toe that would be good.Originally posted by CJ View Postyour over egging it if you say he hasnt blamed the loss on his toe.
i can understand him being sore about loosing. after all the build up and the fact he probably really believed he would win.
as with before the fight he is being a bit classless after it
The hyperbole is in everyone ranting and raving about the toe thing. His quotes are there for all to see - "He was too good for me" - the sort of dignified, frank assessment you don't ever see in football. The stuff beforehand was OTT at times but it's all panto anyway. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He says there it was part of it.
Can't ask for much more than that.“I did the best I could do but losers always say that. Whatever people say about me, that’s fine,” Haye said. “If it makes them feel better, bring it on.
“It’s going to be easy to take the mick out of me but I talk it up so when I don’t deliver, I expect to get abuse. I got some stick from a few fans after the fight but I ignored it. They were in the rain all night, they wanted a high and they didn’t get it.
“I apologize to them. I did my best but my best was not good enough.”Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
