do we really expect an Aussie to be able to look past the fact that someone isnt Austrailian and good at something?

a mate who moved out there about 18 months ago ish said to me that when Aus win its all over but not a ****ing peep at all if they lose.

When the Aussies cricketers first hit their slump in form The Courier Mail (the main paper in Brissie, kind of like an inbred new york times written by 4th graders) didn't run any article at all on 1 of their matches. You had to dig through for 1 line on the results page.

A match only counts if they win.

Unless they can find a 50-50 decision that didn't go their way then they can run with the headline of "Robbed!!!"

At least our press back our teams and actually want them to win. Everyone gets behind them.

The English press clearly love it when England fail, love it! They're like a pack of wolves devouring an injured animal. Most of England enjoy seeing them lose too. Pretty pathetic attitude really.

Unless the fail to exceed expectations, then they don't exist, it's hardly backing 'em

Well, to flip that, how do you not back a winning team? Even our media manages to back us when we're winning.

Guess it was a silly statement in the first place then

I think it can relate to the fact that when England loose the media love to find a scapegoat and really beat the living day lights of out of them, from what I have understood, and why are we arguing when you are an Aussie
