If i'd known that today's game was off, i could've stayed up last night and watched this. Although it sounds like it was grim viewing.

It was great from when I got up after lunch - knocked over their last 6 wickets in real good time. Then we started batting.

Is it quite common for England's cricketers to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, as they look worryingly like they're going to do?

It doesn't happen often but only because England rarely get close to victory. They usually go straight for the witlessly defeated option and don't trouble us with the hopeful stage.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

We should still take the ashes back with us.

Anyone watching SA vs India? Whilst the world and the media turns all of it's attention to the Ashes, the two best teams play each other in Pretoria.
