Yeah there were three or four borderline wides that weren't given last night. Looked wide to me.

The best bit was late on when some pissed up bogan started a rendition of Aussie aussie aussie, oi oi oi.Originally posted by Shaggy View Postwhen the Aussies "hit back" with their lame "Super, Super Mitch" song
Takes a special talent to sing that out of tune.
To his credit but it's the first time I've heard noise from the Aussies when they've been getting mauled.

I don't see why if they are going to refer the decision then they don't use all available technology. Obviously Hot Spot didn't pick it up, but Snicko (which isn't available to 3rd ump) did. If you allow someone to refer, then surely to find out if the decision is good every available means needs to be used.
... Or don't let SKY have Snicko when it isn't an available technology.
These incidents confuse the whole referral system, which overall I think is good.
But yes, Dar must be pissed off as it was a peach of a decision.Modifying post.

5 mins - I didn't know that. Well then I agree, Snicko serves no purpose other than to muddy the already muddied waters. Get rid.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSnicko takes five minutes to generate doesn't it? No chance they'll use that, and also it's less accurate/reliable than Hotspot. Snicko is effectively a toy. I reckon they should sack it.

Yeah, the slow hand clap by the time they could call that would be pretty much unbearable...! I must have been asleep when this happened. I watched way too much last night and am suffering for it today.
Still, only 2 nights maximum to go!!!Modifying post.

I couldn't sleep last night so ended up listening to TMS on and off until about 3.30. I even heard Paul Nixon droning on about life in the second division of the County Championship during the lunch break.
Great play from Cook and Bell. Collingwood was silly though.
Anyway I agree with Shaggly, it wasn't controversial. Rules is rules and the snickometer is crap. If it doesn't show up on Hotspot (and I admit I thought it was sh*t when it was first introduced), then that's just tough for Australia. It's the same for both teams..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I was the same stayed up until 4am, and was up with the little un at 7 just as bad light was called.
It was great watching the Aussies feel all hard done by.
They manage both to be bad loser and we all know they are gloating winners.
I still can't believe the appeal for Cook on 99. Scandalous bit of attempted cheating.Last edited by Buzzo; 05-01-11, 06:12 PM.Modifying post.
