That's the daft thing about these rankings, they don't actually show who the best golfer is at the moment because of the lag. Woods has been (relatively) **** for over 12 months yet only now drops off the top spot. Westwood was the best from about 12 months ago until a few months ago, but has been injured recently and not playing outstandingly well. Kaymer is probably the best at the moment having won lots of tournaments in quick succession, but he won't hit top spot for a couple of months as he wasn't in such outstanding form 12 months ago.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post
Westwood fully deserves to have been recognised as the no.1 golfer on the planet though, and it's great to see him at the top of the rankings. Hope he can hang on there and win a major next year to remove any remaining unfair criticism of him.Comment
