well he has nowhere else to go that i can see (haye) - if he wants to be a boxing 'legend' - well they you go - it's a big task but beat the klitschko's and retire

they'd be excited fights - i like haye - i watched him a lot before he turned heavyweight - he's a bit brash mouthy and arrogant but a boxer needs a bit of that and I like him - he's livened up an otherwise pretty dire weight division for me.....I'll admit I am bit of a part time boxing fan so don't know everything about every fighter out there - but i know enough that well heavywight boxing hasn't had a decent fight in years - credit to haye for stepping up, fighting that big ****er valuev, finishing audley harrison of once and for all and creating some interest in heavyweight boxing.

Good luck to him - if they ever sign the contracts it'll be a huge fight - if he goes in and gets sparked out - well so what - at least he's created a stir - if he goes on and wins - well fair play lad.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Just watched Ringside with Lennox Lewis and watching clips from his old fights and its so refreshing to watch a truly great heavyweight at work. He could box, fight, move and out think his opponent at every turn.

Use to love watching Lewis fight from his fight against Ruddock to his last fight against Klitschko. Truly one of the greatest fighters of all time.

David Hay has a lot to live up to.

I saw that last night. I'd forgotten how good his fight with Ruddock was.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The Klitschkos are ****, all the great American athletes are off playing American football and basketball.

After Lennox left, the heavyweight division fell off a cliff! Hopefully it comes back around eventually.

Haye will beat the brothers IMO. But he will never be considered a great like Lennox. He truly was brilliant. Probably in the Top5 of all time too. Heavy weights will come back, but I think this generation will be remembered as one of the weakest. With there literally only being 3 fighters that are any good. 2 of which wont fight each other.
            *Except Michael, who died.

I think the raise of MMA has played its part in the heavyweight devision suffering from lack of quality.

How? The MMA heavyweight division is an even bigger joke than boxing. It certainly hasn't taken any potential boxing greats away.

Kemm is right. American kids of that size are concentrating on football and basketball at a younger age now instead. The CBA and massive surge in pro football popularity means it is a far more attractive proposition than being punched in the head for a living.

Incidentally, just to highlight the hilarity of the Klitschkos, they have even made Chisoora sign a guaranteed rematch against Vitali should he cluster**** his way past Wladimir. Who makes people sign guaranteed fight clauses against third party fighters? Chumps.

I didn't say they were great. You can only beat who's around. It's not their fault there's hardly any decent heavyweights around in their generation. Those that think Haye would beat both brothers easily are talking rubbish IMHO.

I agree, both brothers could quite easily keep Haye at bay all night with those awesome jabs and one or two solid hooks could throw Haye into meltdown, of course Haye has the potential to beat them but he would have to step up in a way he hasnt had to so far in his career.

Might i ad a Lennox lewis at the end of his career with nothing to prove who still managed to stop them.

                              Them?

He fought Vitalli in one of the best heavyweight fights you could wish to see. An absolute storming fight.

Lewis is an ATG heavyweight. No shame in losing to him.

I meant Vitalli. My point was that it was a lennox lewis at the end of his career and not in his prime and he still beat him. My biggest prolem with them is they fight bums most of the time.
