I was chatting to an uncle of mine at the weekend. Ex boxer loves the sport.

I asked him about Haye and he said he is ok but he thought that the better Klitchko would easily deal with him.

Meh, a mate of mine is good pals with Mark Krence, who fought both Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton - and Krence thought Harrison would beat Haye recently ...what do boxers know.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Brothers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko have issued a joint statement saying they are ready to fight Britain's world champion David Haye in 2011.
Wladimir holds three of the current world heavyweight belts, Vitali one and 30-year-old Londoner Haye the other.
"We promise in 2011 the fight against Haye will come," read the statement on the German newspaper Bild.

"We want this fight at all costs. He may choose which of us he wants to step into the ring to lose his world title."

A fight between Haye and one of the Germany-based Ukrainians has been in the pipeline since Haye stepped up into the heavyweight division, with the Englishman having already withdrawn from a 2009 bout with Wladimir because of a back injury.

But, after Wladimir's fight with Briton Dereck Chisora was called off 10 days ago because of a stomach injury, the showdown with Haye has once again risen to the top of the agenda, with the Klitschkos giving their clearest indication that an agreement is imminent.

          Wladimir Klitschko lays down gauntlet

Vitali had said on Tuesday that his brother was ready to take on the Londoner, prompting Haye's manager Adam Booth to respond: "We are now perfectly positioned to get together and make this fight with Wladimir Klitschko.

"Despite the fact we know we bring more UK television money to the table, David and I are happy to split the entire pot 50-50 and grant Wladimir the deal he has wanted since day one.
"We have offered them 50-50 on everything - just as they requested - and now see no reason why this tremendous fight can't happen. The path is clear."

Wladimir, the IBF, IBO and WBO champion, had been due to meet Haye in 2009 but the fight was called off after the Londoner suffered a back injury.
"I'm going to close my eyes and my Christmas wish is for Vladimir to sign on the dotted line," Haye told Sky.

"Potentially we could have three unified champions in Britain [Haye, WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch and WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan] in 2011. If that could happen it could be one of the best eras ever [in British boxing], I don't think that has ever happened before."

Haye told the BBC last week he will not delay his planned retirement - on his 31st birthday next October - to realise his dream of fighting one of the Klitschkos.
Las Vegas has been mooted as a potential venue for the lucrative fight, while Wembley Stadium has been also suggested.

A bit late on this, but have you ever heard of Ike Ibeabuchi and media hype behind him and what about the medi hype behind David Tua before Lewis easily beat him?

The Klitschko brothers are just boring as hell mate in a crap heavyweight period and would have been knocked out cold by the likes of Riddick Bowe and Michael Moorer.

it's on...it's not on...these ****ing clowns are ruining boxing...

              from bbc

David Haye's manager has dismissed the suggestion that the WBA heavyweight champion has been offered a date to fight Wladimir Klitschko.

WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Klitschko, 34, said on Monday he was waiting to see whether Haye would accept a fight on 2 July.

But Adam Booth claims he has not heard from the Ukrainian's team this year.

Haye, 30, is scheduled to fight mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev in England in May at an undecided venue.

"I haven't heard from their camp since December," Booth told BBC Sport.

Booth also criticised Klitschko's next scheduled title defence, against Britain's Dereck Chisora.

"Wladimir has got to stop deceiving boxing fans and not take on 14 fight novices," he said.

Meanwhile, Klitschko told BBC Sport: "I think after talking so much nonsense, he [Haye] has to show up in the ring.

"He's been trying to be smart, but eventually he's put himself in the corner. And he's talking about legacy? I don't see any legacy with him," he said.

"I know the British fans are looking forward to this fight and I'm looking forward to satisfying the British fans to fight David Haye," he added.

"I'm right here, and I'm confirming that 2 July is the date for the fight - either David Haye takes it or he leaves the whole thing."

Klitschko also denied a disagreement over money was preventing the fight from taking place.

"We are agreed on the money so we split everything 50-50, but money is not an issue right now," he said.

The Ukranian also admitted that he is not bothered whether the fight takes place in the UK or not, saying "it doesn't matter".

Wladimir can't do anymore. It's up to Haye but he's choosing the smart option & running from this one.

I won't be surprised in the slightest if he loses to Chagaev.

I'm sure i heard them mention on the radio that Manny Steward who is the trainer of the russian/eastern european guy said that these two need to get it on as they are killing boxing.

it was on talksport - it was a boxing pundit from either the times or the guardian who had recently been with manny stewart - he was basically saying that both haye vs klitchko and mayweather vs pacman, need to happen for the good of the sport....he said (stewart) that all involved need to realise it's the fans that make the fights big not the fighters and that every boxing fan wants to see these two fights happen!! - for whatver reasons they aren't happening and it's killing boxing.

He is right in a sense - for example, i'm a part time boxing fan - i watch prizefighter, and some of the medium sized bouts and all the big bouts, but i don't follow it with a passion, don't watch it every time it's on tv like i do with football....but i have mates who have little interest in boxing - but when a big fight like these would be comes along - all of a sudden they're interested, they will stay up all night to watch them.

it will be a massive massive blow and shame if neither of these fights happened.

And what stewart i think was trying to get at - all the boxers want to leave a legacy, be remembered as great.....but they need to realise that it's the fans that 'make' them a great and if they don't make these fights happen, then they will always have that question mark over his head......"yeah he was good, but he never fought so and so" etc etc

For what it's worth, form an outsiders point of view, i think all 4 of them are ****ting out....it seems they all realise what they have to gain from winning the fight, but also, what they have to lose!!

Im sure they will both happen. They will take it to the brink, then pull them back and get them in the ring.
As you say, it has to happen for the good of the sport.
                              *Except Michael, who died.

I laughed at Nicey when he said that UFC will be bigger than boxing in 10 years and I think that was about 2 years ago and it already is. Boxing is a joke nowadays where as UFC has all the excitement and none of the fight dodging and piss poor matches up that boxing has.

Boxing is dying and it is being killed by boxing not alternative sports.
