To be fair England were without Broad, Swann and Anderson - their three best bowlers!!
Oz are still a good ODI side too I think England haven't come out on top at the curcial moments - of you think back to the first game if KP hadn't have been run out we could have got in excess of 300 and prob won the game. The same today if we had bowled them out when they were 140-8 we would have prob won as well. We aren't that fair away from being a very good side IMO.jc - after the live score and the best Soccer Blog online

Yeah, it's really boring..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

It is boring. The Test series is obviously gripping and awesome, but this is just ****. 50 over cricket is as good as obsolete for me anyway. T20 is ****e as well, but it's entertaining ****e and it's an unstoppable juggernaut. You only have to look at the empty stands for 50 over games. The last World Cup was the most boring sporting event in my lifetime. Nobody went to watch, nobody gave a ****. They may as well have 50 over practices behind closed doors.
These hideously over-packed schedules demonstrate there isn't room for all three forms, IMO. It's been a ludicrous tour since the end of the Ashes and then bang, time for a (pointless) World Cup. There's far too much cricket being played as it is, far far too much. If they binned 50 over cricket it'd free up the schedules for the players to have actually have some sort of life, and enable the sport to refocus on Test cricket, which is what it's all about. Test cricket for real, T20 for ****s and giggles. Sorted.

I'm not really interested in anything but the Ashes. Although maybe now Australia are a long way from being the best in the world, maybe I'll now be more interested in the test series this summer against India than I would have been.
I can't be bothered with South Africa versus India, even though they are supposedly the top two.
Another good reason for getting rid of ODI's is that it's the last scrap by which Australian cricket can clothe its dignity..
