If you had go one round with Lewis or Tyson (can't say no, if you bottled it you DIE!), who would you choose?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think my comment alludes to the fact there is quite a gulf between them, in terms of ranking positions I'm too young to have seen too many of the archive fights, but George Foreman is worthy of a mention.

We do think that Lewis was a better boxer than Tyson so But if Tyson/DK hadn't ****ed up his life sooo much who knows!

honestly mate. in a ring (obviously either of them would probably kill me with one dig) i would much rather face tyson, as his crouch down and punch up tactic with the odd double left hook can be easily negated. Lewis however can switch styles at ease.

In a streetfight however, i believe tyson would tear lewis, ali, foreman, frasier and whoever else you care to mention a new sresehole at the same time

Lewis wasn't one of the natural greats, but he homeworked the **** out of fights. One of the reasons he had trouble with Klitschko is that he had been prepping Johnson. Still, punching actual holes in the Ukranian's face wasn't a bad night's work. Of course, his preparation also led to boring fights sometimes - he blatantly knew he couldn't knock Ray Mercer out, so ballroomed his way through 12 to a (suspect) decision, and he was scared ****less of Tua's power after the Ruiz KO and fought with his hand glued to his head the whole fight. And Tua was ****.

The suspect chin criticism is a biggie though. Lewis was floored twice and failed to continue both times. All the genuine greats could get up. Just look at Shavers knocking Holmes spark only for Larry to get up. Lewis would have cotched for a week after that shot.

Yeah...good post. So, Tyson or Lewis in an imaginary fight with both at the peak of their powers?

Lewis. Tyson didn't boss big fellas too well. Think Tucker, Smith, Ruddock, Douglas. Lewis would have kept away from the body-head right hand combo and taken it on points.

Not the answer I was looking for but one can't have everything.

I know nothing about boxing, but Tyson's punches sounded different to anyone before him... bloody scary.

What is the greatest pairing of all time.... Ali vs. Who?

So when are you going back to your bluenose pal, with a slice of humble pie?

Yes I think most on this thread have plumped for Lewis. But they're all talking rot, so my Bluenose "mate" can swivel.
