What a tennis match, at 2-0 I thought happy days, Murray will win in straight sets and I will be able to get a reasonable nights sleep, but no It turns into a 5 set epic which at 2-2 I thought was only going 1 way. Novak had the momentum and Andy looked a broken man but as much as many people don't like him you just have to admire the mental and physical strength of Andy Murray. He pretty much dominated the 5th set even after Novak got a break back. The wife commented this morning that Andy's win had topped off a great summer for British sport, she even said that had the world cup been this year England would have won it.... Had to remind her that some miracles do happen but England are not winning the world cup in our life time as the Euros earlier in the year had proved!!
Piss flaps. Was skeptical last night that Virgin had the schedules wrong. Ended up recording the timeframe of the original Twenty20 game. Didn't see any of the last set. What a waste of staying up until 1am
Nope never. If you have too I think there is a feature to manually record. Just set it to 6hrs. I got done over with the Ryder cup 4 years ago I think. Missed the last 6 pairs come in.
I couldn't stay up and went radio silence this morning and then the ****er does that
A great victory for Murray. He kept mentally strong and seemed in better physical shape in the 5th set. A few years back he would not have handled that so credit to Lendl for getting him mentally right.
"Andy Murray's nerve-mangling, history-making US Open triumph over Novak Djokovic was many things: one of the great finals of the modern era, a late-night thriller from the city that never sleeps, a breath-taking demonstration of physical strength and mental fortitude. It was also the perfect bookend to a few months that British sport can scarcely believe and will never forget."
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
