Isn't it a bit disrespectful calling her Hannah cockrot

I think we may have talked about this before but I can't remember.

Can anyone explain why or how serve and volley died out? I remember the late 90s and early 00s and people in the game would lament the death of the baseliner, with Sampras, Ivanisevic, Becker and other top players all serving and volleying, with just a handful playing from the back of the court...Agassi being the most notable. Why has it changed around so quickly and so comprehensively?

Briefly...players got bigger and stronger, racquet technology assisted the power and not least...string technology has developed massively (you can smack the ball and still keep it in with enough spin - see Rafa) there are now many string combinations which give you wildly differing results. Even m'boy is getting choosy about different strings/tensions.

                    Damn you auto-corrupt!
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The surfaces changed. That's the biggest reason.

The grass in Wimbledon is different from what it used to be. It's a much slower surface, the ball bounces higher, so there is more time to react to the serve. That's what's killed the serve and volley.

Grass used to be the fastest surface in the game, it's now slower than American hard courts.

The wind is good for Murray.

Murray breaks to love in the first game. Djokovic looks really unsettled by the wind.
