    Are we winning?

Murray steam rolled in the first set against Gasquet 6-1.

Nadal a set and a break up against Monaco

Nadal through 6-2 6-0 6-0, won 17 games in a row, got to feel sorry for Monaco!

Murray looks in pain again (seems to happen everytime he plays badly!)

Gasquet seemed have a complete melt down which has happened before and Murray has gone through in 4 sets.

Got Ferrer up next I think who's looked bloody good so far in this tournament

From 4th seed Murray is always going to have a tough run in. Ferrer, then Nadal, then either Djok or Federer in the final. He should be happy with a semi final here, and look to re-focus for Wimbledon.
            Modifying post.

Ferrer will take him out going on both their performances so far this tournament.

Nadal is looking like a beast as per usual

Been watching the bugger for years and he's always done it. Fact is, if you're on court you're fit. And if your opponent chooses to treat you and differently - well more fool them.

Nieminen - the Finnish chappie Murray ****ted the other day is a perfect example, completely imploded.

The Ferrer game will be worth a watch - Murray usually gets beaten by him on clay (even in practice).

But, ffs, it's Murray - anything could happen.

Why I'm never been a massive fan of Murray, don't like the fact he does this time and again (Djokovic used to be the same).

He's clearly talented enough to win a slam without all that ****.

Know what you mean. It's exceedingly irritating - but it's part of the package. I've met him - very, very sound and focused bloke. He's certainly complicated (and I know people in tennis and people in his management company who have confirmed this) - but frankly you've got to be a little deranged in some way to get to that level in tennis.

I really believe that the men's game, at the top, is one of the most demanding places to be in sports. It's relentless. It's a ******* hard game.

Ahhh he's a fantastic player to be up there in this era with guys who have won 16, 10 and 5 slams is a huge achievement in itself, I am sure he actually does feel something isn't right but it looks all mental with him rather than real physical issues.

I'd agree with you about playing at the top of the game especially over a period of time it has to be a grind to fly from city to city over a course of the year, obviously the rewards are imense to compensate for this though.

He knows something isn't right - and most of it it in his head. He's employed Lendl specifically for that reason. Lendl took a while, like Murray, to get a slam - but he was ruthless. Eg, if someone came into the net - Lendl would just belt the ball as hard as he could at them. It was war .

And as you can read, or have heard on the commentary, they're working on a killer forehand etc

The bit in bold I've highlighted is true but, and it's a big but, is that like boxing, tennis is one of the loneliest of sports and, as we know, there can be **** players in a very successful foot team (eg Traore ) but in a one-on-one sport with an extremely long season, there is no hiding place.

Get into the top 100 and you're ok-ish £££. Murray already has more millions than I can count.

But to get there, unless you're exceptional you need to have spent years trekking the world getting ranking points blah blah blah

Had £50 at 4/1 for this game
and then £10 at 28/1 to win the game after losing first set 6-1

But Tsonga comes back, get in.
