I find that sort of comment (and loads of people say it) fairly disrespectful. Especially considering Williams dominance is hardly unprecedented.

Put it this way Steffi Graf won 22 Grand Slams by dominating and out powering the majority of women in the field. Graf dominated so much that she almost won back to back grand slams in '88 and '89 (only missing out on the French Open in 89) and I don't think people ever suggested she should play in the mens tour.

Djokovic has now won his last 27 hard court Grand Slam matches. He has still not lost at a hard court Grand Slam since the 2010 US Open.

If he wins it you'd think - Olympic fever notwithstanding - that he'd become favourite for SPOTY. I don't know why we keep talking about it cos it's a **** show and totally unimportant, but still. He's had an amazing year - Aus Open semis (lost that titanic match v Novak), Wimbledon final, Olympic gold and now another US Open final.

Just watched this again - this was the point Murray won me over. Prior to this I was one of those idiots who wanted him to lose. Now I'm a huge fan.

Tough gig for Murray tonight with Djok but hopefully with winning the the Olympics the pressure will have lifted somewhat and I think having Lendl in his corner will have helped with the mental side of the game when it comes to these GS final matches (lost his first 4 as well).

Should be a belter though whoever comes out on top.
