Don't get me wrong. I love my putter. Glorious Ping Redwood Anser. The problem is that it seems to hate me! I'm planning to sit here one day drawing lines on my (golf) balls. See if that helps. It's alignment, not pace. Always has been.

Years ago - ping used to make a ball that was great for putting - it was two colours and you could line the ball up so that when you hit a good putt with a good roll, you could clearly see the two colours rolling properly - but a bad putt/roll would mean the colours would go all over the show

I bought a pink/white logo one from the Naples Beach Hotel in Florida and kept it in my bag for 15 years without ever letting it touch any grass. Lost it recently though, I might've smashed it in to a lake at Vilamoura though too, in an act of honourable retirement. Taylormade FTW, Pureroll inserts make the ball come off the face cleaner thatn anything else on the market. My putting is fine from long distance, I just get the yips around 4 foot from the hole. If my putting was better I could be down to 12/13 handicap by the end of the year

It's been ages since I bought any new golf kit. At the minute I'm using a Callaway FT-I driver and that might be going the journey. Dunno why like, just seems that since I've been playing a bit more of late my compulsive need to shop for kit has returned.

Aye, had an R7 a few years back. I dunno though. There is just that bit of class about a Mizuno player that you don't get with the Taylormade Charvas
