    US Open Golf

How long before Rory starts to buckle under the pressure?

A double bogey at the last is an ominous sign... Fingers crossed I'm wrong as it'll be the start of an amazing career at the majors once he wins one

Easier said than done I know but if he just plays par golf over the next 2 rounds he'll win comfortably! One thing I think is critical for him and that is to retain a positive approach to his game and not get defensive.

He said that very thing after yesterday's round. Trouble is that he plays such attacking golf that he's going to be tempted to go for it again and if he drops a shot he'll start feeling the heat.

I reckon it depends on what the rest of the field do prior to him teeing off. If there's a 5 shot lead he is going to have to be told to peg his game back

All Rory needs to do is more of the same, stay relaxed and play with freedom. Providing he sticks to this I will be quids in with my £100 ew on him at 14's

How many time have you said that you have £100 e/w at 14/1 in the last few days!? ...you don't have to keep saying it. We believe you!

But while we're on the topic, I'v a tener at 14 aswell!

I'm so excited. And I just cant hide it. I'm about to loose control and I think I like it.

Good news for fans/backers/Rory himself. Just gone through 54 with the lowest ever score in the history of the competition and leads by 8.

I think he has this in the bag. He would have leant alot from the masters and will be in the right frame of mind goinging into today.

Aside from the last round in the masters this year, his dominance has been Tiger-esq. IIRC tiger biltz his 1st masters in a reocrd score. Even if the un-thinkable happens, he will win a major and it will be brilliant looking into the future for UK open next month.

Get in there Rory! Love to see him make it to 20 under

Hopefully Sergio can have a good day too. They mentioned that 3rd will get him back in the top 50.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
