I wish they would call Gimeno-Traver by his name rather than calling his 'this guy' it's quite disrespectful IMO

Noticed that early on during the Dokic game, she was 5/1 to win in 3 sets and the Italian girl was 4/1 to do so.
I didnt back it, but that match was ALWAYS going to three sets, backing both would've guaranteed a decent profit.
Something to look out for, especially in the ladies matches where, if you're convinced nobody is winning in straight sets, there's only two options to back.

Nah to be honest Craig I wish I would have thought of that before that match began could have made a fair bit of money off that, any further tips would be appreciated. The times they are a changin'.

I think that Murray and Sharapova will win it this year. Murray was a bottler a couple of years ago but now he is one of the best fighters out there. From average to excellent mentality. Murray vs Federer in the final.
Sharapova is in excellent form. Can't really see anyone beat her now when the Williams sisters isn't 100% fit.
Wozniacki isn't that good on grass.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

I have a feeling Murray is going to make the final this year. Winning it may depend on who he faces... I'd fancy him to beat Djokovic, but not Federer...
His last 2 sets were punishing last night, I don't think there is anything the other guy could have done, despite how well he played for the first 1.5 sets.Modifying post.

Sounds like Barry Davies (?) commentating on the match and a slo-mo replay comes up of Djokovic ... he then goes on to talk about how intently he watches the ball, the concentration, the balance, the poetry ... and then you almost hear the penny drop as he realsies that is the ball Djokovic randomly fires into the crowd *after* securing victory!

agreed. it had become a farce to be honest during the samprass days but it now feels like it's gone too much the other way and its like playing on a hard court.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostAnyone think the grass is slower than say, 10-15 years ago? I think they've deliberately done that to 'even out' the competition. Nadal wouldn't have won that tournament if it was played 15 years ago.Always borrow money from a pessimist.
