    no surprise someone got hurt.

Totally brutal. I watched it all the way through this morning and I was shocked by the commentary at the end of it questioning why he dropped to his knee. Easy to be negative about what the guy says when you know the outcome, and its shocking to see him drop to his knee, again especially when you know what happened to him. It was the moment that guy's life changed forever and it was there for millions to see in real time.

    Here's how he ended up.

Going out now but might watch this again tonight. Don't think I've ever watched it since the night of the fight. It was shockingly brutal and absolutely ****ing compelling. Golden age of middleweight boxing.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think a lot of the trash talk from Haye about putting people in hospital etc could have been worded differently..

Not that there is a better way of saying what damage you are going to do to someone..

Add Michael Watson and Johnny Owen into that and you realise that Haye make look back at those comments with regret..

Benn lost that fight in the first round, the ref should've stopped it then. Terribly sad the way it turned out.

Haye is classless. He said that the Audley Harrison fight would be as one sided as gang rape, which was nice.

One of the best fights I've ever seen. Utterly brutal.

Kevin Mitchell's book 'War, Baby' details the fight and the events surrounding the fight. Makes for compelling reading.

It was a fantastic time but not sure it was a golden age.

Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Duran era was for me the true golden age of middleweights. Loved those fights.

Yeah. Hagler, Hearns, Leonard and Duran truly was a golden period. Have you read the book 'Four Kings' which charts the careers of the aforementioned greats and their respective fights? One of the best books on boxing I've ever read. If you've not read it then i can't recommend it highly enough.
