    Khan v Mayweather

Talk that it could happen 2012 in the UK

The potential welterweight clash between Amir Khan and Floyd Mayweather next year has the possibility of landing in Khan’s home country. Both fighters have expressed an interest in the future fight, with Mayweather in particular stating his intention to fight in the UK at some point in his career.

A 2012 mega-fight with Khan at 147lbs would give the former ‘Pretty Boy’ the perfect opportunity to entertain what he calls ‘my favourite fans in the world.’ Mayweather, 35, is currently in training to face WBC champion Victor Ortiz in September, after which, he could meet Manny Pacquiao and win or lose, could still face Khan in England late next year.

24 year-old WBA light-welterweight champion Khan is in the final preparations for his upcoming bout with Zab Judah and according to Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, has bouts with Erik Morales and Kell Brook pencilled in for spring and summer 2012, before the possible UK date with ‘Money’ Mayweather.

"I always said I wanted a big fight in England," said Khan.

"I want to bring the big fights back to this country. The Floyd Mayweather fight would be one of those.

"I wanted to fight Maidana in the UK, but he wanted to fight in America. It wasn't my decision, but I know my true fans are over there.

“The Mayweather fight could definitely happen in England,” added the Bolton fighter.

Fair play to Amir for pursuing the fight but I wouldn't give him a hope in hell.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Meh, Khan would barely win a round, he's way to erratic.

Dunno, he has improved with every fight, since he got beaten, and Roach would have a decent game plan

He looked crap in his last fight, as soon as someone is getting out of the way he's all over the place. Its more to do with how good Mayweather is anyway, he's just not at that level and never will be.
