    World Championships of Ping Pong

Coverage of the Marco Polo Cup is dominating Sky Sports 4 today.

But I'm guessing you all knew that.

Your watching some ****e on tv lately

    First fishing and now this
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I'm beginning to think to think that Muddled is clutching at any sport possible to fill the void that no football has left
The times they are a changin'.

I'm flicking between Ping Pong and the darts.

I didn't think darts was weird enough, so went with the ping pong to see if we have any lovers of the non-fashionable sports on here ... it doesn't seem to be the case though.

... just wait till the ten pin bowling Weber cup starts!

You're not far wrong; I've got the ladies golf on as we type.

I'm just a wreck in the months without football.

I noticed this was on. What's the difference between table tennis and ping pong? Surely the World Table Tennis Superconfederation (or whatever) haven't started calling it ping pong.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Now, I'm obviously an avid Table Tennis *and* Ping Pong fan and in no way Googled this link, but just knew of it ...

Difference between Table Tennis and Ping Pong

In other general sports news, Taylor is beating Wade 8-2 in the World Matchplay final, with Wade now 16/1 to win and Taylor is 80/1 to win 18-2.

Ah, thanks. What a valuable piece of knowledge that is.

What I really want to know is when will ESPN be showing the World Wiff-Waff Championships?

Muddled, I just checked out the Ping Pong World Championships (surprised I can tear myself away from it to be honest) and it's exactly the same as table tennis - only the serve bounces on both sides of the table.

                    I think we're looking at a BDO/PDC-type situation here. It's a tragedy for the game's credibility.

I've got it on now; there is some trash talk going off ... is there nothing this sport doesn't have? Apart from a unified governing body to oversee its rise to the mainstream. I think the WCPP is best placed to take it forward.

In other exciting Ping Pong news; The Rumble is just about to start, bringing the World Championships to an end with the World taking on Asia for the Marco Polo Cup and - of course - bragging rights.
