I've always been an athletics fan, always loved the Olympics but this is on another level. Got into other sports I would never have entertained before - mainly cycling - and our success has been inspirational. Woke up this morning and the first thing I thought was not "hooray I'm going to see Blur tonight", but "wow, last night was ****ing amazing, I'd better get up and get stuff done before Murray starts".

Well the bronze match is on centre court beforehand FFS, and that starts at 12. They have Muzza due on at 2pm and his mixed doubles final at 4. Not a ****ing chance of those times being met. The final is best of five too. We're setting off for Wolverhampton at about 4.30/5 so I think I'll miss the end of the Murray game too, as well as the 100m semis and final tonight. Never thought I'd be anything other than ecstatic at the prospect of going to see Blur live but I'm a bit miffed today FFS

I think Del Potro v Djok will go on past 2, Murray v Fed will take at least 4 hours and and the mixed doubles final won't have started by 7pm.

What do people think of Jake Humphrey as a presenter by the way? I mean he's clearly no Ortis, but I think he's quite good. Has a bit of the Adrian Childs about him but generally, having come from kids tv, he's alright.

He came from kids TV?

I think he has a bit of the Dan Walker about him - uber clean cut, probably votes Tory, almost certainly believes in God. Despite all that I kinda like him, as I do Walker. But I want to hate them both.

Hahaha they've just shown the scenes in the presenting box thing last night from Mo's race. They were all going mental - even Michael Johnson - he's basically an honorary Brit now isn't he

I recognised Matt Baker's voice doing the gymnastics so had to Wiki him to find out if why on earth he was doing it - but he has the credentials as an ex gymnast.

Yeah. If I recall correctly, in late 2002, he hosted CBBC's coverage of Fame Academy, along with Holly Willoughby. Such was the duo's success, they became an integral part of the show, also presenting the 2003 series, and the 2003 celebrity edition for Comic Relief. He also presented the 2005 and 2007 Comic Relief editions of Fame Academy, with Sophie McDonnell and Caroline Flack respectively.
Beginning in 2004, Humphrey started hosting The Saturday Show and BAMZOOKi, but these roles ended in 2005 and 2006 respectively. He was named anchorman of children's sports show Sportsround in September 2005, beginning a series of roles related to sports. Also he was the presenter on Gimme a Break in the first series.
