Rebecca Adlongton just got into the final as the last qualifier despite winning her heat.
Not favourite for the 400 though is she the 800 is her main event.
I am sure the sailing is very skilful but its not the best spectator sport

Although it is a catch 22 situation. Without the sponsorship money the games may not even have come to London.

It's been around in indoor volleyball for a while. It's the libero position - they don't get rotated like other team members. It's primarily defensive - their job is to save the ball when it comes from the other side, dig it up towards the setters (Originally posted by NigelLG View PostAnyone know why one team member has to be in a different coloured shirt in Volley Ball? Never used to be that way.
) nearer the net.
They usually keep a position in the back-court, and since they need speed and agility rather than height (because they're not near the net and their job is to pass, hitting the ball up rather than down) then they're usually notably shorter than their teammates..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Lord Coe spoke out as the row mounted over unfilled seats in several Olympic venues - mostly in the "accredited" areas sections.
The seats are reserved for the "Olympic Family" - a term used to describe groups including officials, sports federations, athletes and their families, journalists and sponsors.
Empty seats "in the very earliest phases" of the Olympics were part of "the nature of that accredited area", Lord Coe told a press conference.
"[The ticket-holders] are trying to figure out how they're going to divide their time, what their responsibilities are, and how and when they get dragged to any number of venues," he said.
"I don't think you will be seeing this as an issue, long-term through the Games."
Lord Coe added organisers would fill some of the empty seats with servicemen and women, as well as local students and teachers.bbc
