Q. Has anyone ever won gold medals across different sports, ie Carl Lewis in 100m and long jump, but more diverse?

Johnny Weismuller won gold in swimming and water polo.

Might aswell just save the athletes the bother and let them choose who they want to win before the tournament, amateur boxing is even worse than the pro's for this ****. And the disqualification earlier was horrific.

Eddie Eagan of the USA won Gold in the Light Heavyweight boxing at the 1920 Antwerp Games and Gold in the 4-man Bobsleigh in the 1932 Winter Games

Thats pretty diverse!

Not gold medals but Nasser Al Attiyah won Bronze in the men's skeet (shooting to most of us ) and also won the Paris to Dakar rally in 2011.
