Thats a bit like a Wigan fan gloating about being top after 1 game

Small victories. We traditionally fall off after the first week (due to no swimming) so this is probably the highest we'll be.

Why is that? Ive often wondered why larger countries don't win more medals. India and Australia being the obvious ones.

Large by area, or population? Australia is small by the latter
                Football without Origi is nothing

Population. My point is that India won 3 medals at the last Olympics. Thats with a population of 1 Billion people. I just find it odd.

Not sure they have the right coaching or infrastructure to train athletes to the top level

We are one of the best nations in the world for medals per capita, and arguably the best amongst larger (20mil+) nations.

Interesting. I assume it wont be so good this time around though?

It's looking like it'll be one of our worst results in the last 20-30 years.

                            What fallout?
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Anyone know what time Wiggins is off?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Mainly the British sour grapes and crushed expectations.
