stupid, the best two teams should be allowed to compete in the final.

But it should be the two best sides who played to the rules of the sport, in order to be fair to everyone.
If they have contravened the rules then there is little can be done.

I find myself in a very strange position of wanting everyone from Team GB to do well except for the Equestrian team (too late), GB football and Andy Murray.

As a non-Cyclist I do not see how a judge can use discretion, as they said they would do. If breaking the rules = DQ then there is no scope for discretion. If they can use discretion what circumstances can they do it in?
