Fair point. It'll be instructive to see the same table this time next week..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

In the Olympic Stadium right now.....wow, what an incredible feeling. It is an amazing arena, and after a sensational night of boxing last night I feel so blessed to be here today.
It is going to be so sad when these games are over....

Equestrian doesn't look all that good either. But I don't know how many medals are available.
I'm surprised by how much money canoeing got, irrespective of the medals won. I suppose the flat water racing is still to come so the count may change..

Budgie smugglers aren't cheap.Originally posted by Alex View PostThe spend on Diving is the one that surprises me most. For a sport that we have about 6 athletes for at this Olympics that's a lot of money. Its not like they need much equipment. Is it the Tom Daley effect?
Or cheep.

Ohh I know its still going on. But it does seem a hell of a lot of money to let a bunch of people fall into a swimming poolOriginally posted by captainfog View PostDiving not over yet, could still get a medal.

i think the spend table is potentialy misleading.
is the velodrome included in that? if it isnt fair enough but what about something like diving that may have not had that world class facility so needed to invest in things like that.
does the cycling number include the amount that Sky seem to pump into british cycling?
