So embarrassing. I'll never live that down.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

On a vaguely related note I'm watching an old QI episode where they are talking about some medals that have previously been awarded atthe Olympics. In 1948 at the London Olympics Gabriele Bianchi of Italy won the Bronze medal for Vocal Music. No Gold or Silver medal was awarded
How insulted would you be? Yeah, no one else has done better but you're just not good enough for a gold, sorry buddy.Football without Origi is nothing

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

cycling has the infrastructure, coaches and athletes so why give them more money, why not boost another sport thats struggling?
but i would also target the sports that have the biggest potential for the most people to benefit from it. you wont get many kids from deprived areas getting drawn into rowing or horse dancing just because of extra funding. it will only benefit the minority.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
